This is a story of how to overcome our deepest fears by getting insight especially from others who are or were in the same plight.

The General Consensus
So today I told a fellow colleague about my blog, and quite naturally he asked whats your blog called? When I told him is called Married but Single, it was like he was about to choke. I laughed and asked is there a problem, and he said talk about controversial. To which i answered that it was the very reason I am writing on the issue and he should check it out.
Well if you were planning to tell someone that you are married but single expect such reactions, " is that possible? Are you crazy or are you smoking your socks" The conversation normally starts like this.....
so are you married?
yes
oh that's nice, so where's hubby/wife
(This is the part you decide to throw it out there)
oh he/she is abroad
OH so how often do you guys see each other?
(By now you are hating yourself for having this conversation)
As often as we can
How often is that?
once or twice a year when they get their leave
(Depending on who you are having this conversation with, you are probably going to get a lecture on how its not right for families to be apart and so forth)
Which is why I am just saying if people could understand and accept the term Married but single, you could avoid that whole conversation which includes being judged. So for the general consensus if you are Married but single, when asked if you are married tell them you are Married but single and tell me how that went!
Otherwise great weekend!
